Seasons of the Heart

Having moved much throughout my life, and now living in Boston, a city of transience, where people and seasons come and go, I have grown accustomed to constantly living with change and having to adapt to goodbyes. As hard as they may be. Yet every painful experience bears its gifts. The beautiful thing that happens over time is you learn to begin treasuring every moment and each encounter, you learn to find the eternal in the ever-fleeting.

This photo composition is a tribute to all those beautiful people who've come and gone from my life, yet will always be with me, in the form of memories and lessons learned that make me who I am today.

In the first picture, we experience the joyful freshness of Spring, of a new encounter, a new beginning of a relationship or friendship;

The second picture portrays the magical moments shared between two people who care about each other - the happy serenity of oneness with each other;

In the third, we have the bittersweet sadness of raindrops on flowers, like tears of something good ending, yet something better about to begin;

And finally, an empty bench where two hearts once were one, surrounded by the timeless remnants of Spring's departure...fallen petals, soulful memories.

And life continues on this amazing journey...to new seasons, new encounters, new memories, new lessons. And each time, you and I are never quite the same again.
